About Body Restoration

Body Restoration Spa, a.k.a. Bodyrest started as the expansion of Cara Solomon’s skin care and massage therapy practice. Cara saw all of her clients by appointment in a single treatment room inside the Medical Arts Building. Having worked in several spa-like environments from hotel health spas, skin care clinics and hair salons with spa services, Cara saw the need for a specialty spa focusing only on body and skin. In 1999, she opened her private practice with the goal of developing into a small spa. There would be no hair salon services, nail care or make-up. The environment would be tranquil and free of chemicals and loud chatter.

Clients hear about Body Restoration Spa from family, friends and co-workers. In fact, most of our business is referral. We invest in our online presence and have revamped our web site so it’s easier to navigate, schedule an appointment or shop. Our client is typically an internet savvy Generation X or Y. However, we service a small percentage of Baby Boomers.

Body Restoration was started in the late 90s just as the internet was coming to the forefront. Cara at the time was in her late twenties and attracted mostly clients in her age bracket or even younger – the collegiate crowd.

Our clientele has grown with us and the employees on staff entered into the wellness field having left their profession in the corporate world. Everyone on staff was drawn to the health and wellness industry and made a conscious career move into a fulfilling role.

You’ll find that we have very little turnover in employees. The energy in the spa is positive and free flowing. The treatments are inspiring.  Body Restoration is owned, operated and managed by someone who has a business background who is also a healer and tends to the business as her only child. Cara makes an appearance practically everyday at Body Restoration.
