Prolonging the Effects of Your Treatment

We've provided aftercare instructions to prolong the results of your spa visit.

Prolonging The Effects Of Your Massage

• After your massage, drink plenty of water through the next two to three days

• Eat light foods and try to rest after the treatment

• Do not engage in any stressful activity if possible. If working out at the gym, it is not recommended to lift weights after a deep tissue massage

• Enjoy the application of oils from the treatment as they continue to moisturize your skin

• Moist heat (i.e. hot water packs) and ice can be used alternately for 10 minutes on areas of soreness to heal the areas where deeper massage work was performed

• Soak in a hot bath with Epsom salts

• It is not uncommon to feel soreness after a massage. The massage therapist has uncovered an area where there is a lot of tension. Alternating hot and cold compresses on the area of soreness will help, as well

Prolonging The Effects Of Your Facial

• Drink plenty of water after your facial

• It is not recommended to apply make-up right after your facial, it may affect the texture of your skin (we find people break out, it seems, from applying make-up right after their facial)

• Always wear an SPF to prevent further sun damage

• Start with one or two product recommendations from your esthetician as you begin a skin care regimen

• Refrain from picking any blemishes as it may cause scarring to the skin

• Keep your skin well moisturized; it makes for easier extractions during your facial

Prolonging The Effects Of Your Wax

• Any redness caused by waxing usually goes away by the end of the day

• Take lukewarm showers for two days after your wax

• No exfoliating on the area that was just waxed for two days

• After two days, you can go back to your regular temperature showers

• Start exfoliating with a body polish or loofah on the area the was waxed

• If you see ingrown hairs, we have an array of products that will exfoliate the dead skin that traps the hair in the follicle

• It is best not to shave in between your wax visits, the hair will come in short and stubbly making your next wax service painful

• If you come in contact with direct sunlight, including a tanning booth, you should wear an SPF
