Since 2002, Body Restoration Spa has used the blue hard wax for Brazilian bikini waxing services. The only waxing center in Philadelphia to focus on hair removal with blue wax or hard wax, we quickly carved a niche in Brazilian bikini waxing. We use the ‘Cadillac’ of all waxes on the market making the service more pleasant and tolerable when receiving hair removal. We do not double dip the wax sticks as every guest is entitled to a germ-free experience when removing hair from those tender parts.

Body Restoration may use one of two waxes for your service. Your esthetician will determine which wax will provide an optimal result for your needs.

French Depilatory Wax:

Blue Wax is a hard wax used for face, underarms, bikini and Brazilian bikini waxing. The wax is applied slightly thicker, dries and is peeled away (without strips). It is a gentle yet strong wax, perfect for tender areas that may also have stronger, coarser hair.

Ease Wax is a soft wax used for legs, arms, back and chest areas. Used with strips, this is the perfect “speed wax” product allowing large areas to be covered at one time without fear of it setting up or drying.

Features: These waxes are superior to any other product on the market: gentle, easy to use, and effective. Heated at low temperatures, the waxes are applied just above skin temperatures, have wonderful creamy textures, and are less sticky than traditional waxes.

Benefits: You will notice less redness on your skin after being waxed. Expect smooth flawless skin with fewer ingrown hairs. Hair growth becomes lesser each time. The post wax essential oils applied to your skin to tone redness are a special aromatic treat.

Bikini Wax Preparation

Bikini Wax Preparation: The hair must be between ¼ of an inch and ½ of an inch, or long enough to lie down on the skin. It can’t be stubbly or long and puffy. If it is any longer than ½ of an inch, please trim the hair. Do not schedule any waxing during your period, after consuming caffeine, if you are taking any oral medications for acne or antibiotics for a cold.

NOTE: The best way to tell if your hair is long enough is to allow at least two weeks of growth after shaving the area. Please refrain from using an electric trimmer on the bikini area prior to the appointment. It makes the hair tough and more difficult to remove.

After Waxing: Don’t use your shower puff, loofah, or any scrubbing grains for at least 3 days. Avoid self tanner for a week. If you come in contact with direct sunlight, including a tanning booth, please use SPF 45.

Brazilian Wax

Maintenance Brazilian Wax

A Maintenance Brazilian Bikini Wax is for a client who returns for her routine wax preferably within 4-6 weeks of her last appointment. We remove all of the hair from the front of the bikini area, as well as the sides of the bikini line, the vaginal lips and the labia, and in between the buttocks. The client has the option to leave a small vertical strip in the front if she chooses. $70

NOTE: If you fall within the "in between period" of growing the bikini area longer than six weeks but not as long as six months (which would make it a Virgin Brazilian Wax), the esthetician will determine if your service should be a Maintenance Wax or a Virgin Wax. Most women fall within the Maintenance Wax guidelines because they may have been waxed two months ago at another place and are booking with us for their next wax.

Virgin Brazilian Wax

A Virgin Brazilian Bikini Wax refers to a client who has been growing the area for over six months and requires more materials and time to perform the service. We remove all of the hair from the front of the bikini area, as well as the sides of the bikini line, the vaginal lips and the labia, and in between the buttocks. The client has the option to leave a small vertical strip in the front if she chooses. $85-100

NOTE: If you fall within the guidelines of the Virgin Brazilian Wax because you have been growing the area for six months or more, your esthetician will determine if the area required more time and materials to perform the service. Sometimes we adjust the price to a Maintenance Brazilian Wax because the wax wasn't difficult to perform. It has to do with the amount of growth or the type of hair (fine, course.)

Hollywood Bikini Wax 1

A Hollywood Bikini Wax 1 removes a large portion of hair from the top of the bikini line, as well as the sides of the bikini line, and the vaginal lips. We do not remove hair from the labia or in between the buttocks. A very small patch of hair is left in the front. $55-60

Hollywood Bikini Wax 2

A Hollywood Bikini Wax 2 resembles a high cut bikini where a portion of hair is removed from the top of the bikini line. The sides of the bikini line are waxed about 1 ½ inches inward from the inguinal line. A small portion of hair is removed from the sides of the vaginal lips. The hair is removed from the buttocks as well. $55-60

Deep Bikini Wax

A Deep Bikini Wax resembles a high cut bikini where a portion of hair is removed from the top of the bikini line. The sides of the bikini line are waxed about 1 ½ inches inward from the inguinal line. A small portion of hair is removed from the sides of the vaginal lips. We do not remove hair from the labia or in between the buttocks. $45-50

An ‘old school underwear’ traditional bikini wax that removes hair about 2 inches outward from the inguinal line. $35-40

Waxing Definitions

BROWS: Brows are lightly trimmed and combed before shaping. Brows will be shaped by waxing from underneath the brows, in the center of the brows, and above the brows if needed. We take into account how each client prefers to have their brows shaped. $18-25

CHEEKS: The client holds her hair out of the way and indicates the point (usually near the ear) where she would like the hair removed. $15-20

LIP: The hair from the upper lip is removed. $12-15

CHIN: The hair on the chin and beneath the chin is removed. $15-18

SHOULDERS: The hair on the shoulders and the sides of the neck is removed. $15-25

BACK: Including the upper and lower back with special attention to any patches of hair that are along the sides of the back. Attention is given to the shoulders and top of the arms as well. $65-70

CHEST: Please trim chest hair if it is long and puffy. If you have shaved it, you’ll need to let it grow 14 days or until the hair is long enough to lie down on the skin, in order for it to be waxed. $65-70

FULL ARM: Removes hair from the forearm, around the elbow and the upper part of the arm nearing the shoulders. Hands are included. $40-50

UNDERARM: If underarm area has been recently shaved, you may need to allow hair to grow for 14 days or until the hair is long enough to lie down on the skin, in order for it to be waxed. $20-24

STOMACH: Removes hair from the abdominal region (above and below the naval). $25-35

BELLY TRAIL: Removes the trail of hair from the naval down to where the top of the bikini line begins. $10

UPPER THIGH: Starting two inches away from the bikini line, hair is removed from the front and back of the thighs. The waxing stops at the lower end of the knee. $45-55

LOWER LEG: Starting at the top portion of the knee, hair is removed from the front and back of the lower legs. Feet are included. $35-45

FULL LEG: Starting two inches away from the bikini line, hair is removed from the front and back of thighs, knees, and lower legs. Feet are included. $75-85

BUTTOCKS: The hair on the cheeks and in between the cheeks is removed. $45-55
